About

MECCA Stonehouse is right on the beach in Mission Bay with unbeatable views of the Hauraki Gulf. In fact it is the only restaurant located on the beach side of Tamaki Drive in Mission Bay. There are two dining options at MECCA Stonehouse – the Restaurant inside the 1859 Anglican Mission House, or in the modern café built in the grounds of Mission House.

MECCA Stonehouse Café is an open deck café, with a sail-like canopy and cosy basalt stone fireplace; it can be fully enclosed on cooler days. A popular place to sit, soak up the sun, enjoy a meal or coffee, and watch the activity on the Hauraki Gulf, or just the view of Rangitoto Island. There is plenty of space for children to run around on the surrounding grass, and there is a well-equipped playground, spacious reserve, and the beach adjacent.

MECCA Stonehouse Restaurant is a beautiful historical building with an arched ceiling, church windows, rich pumpkin-coloured walls, and a large fireplace to warm up those nippy winter days and evenings. Enter through the reception area with its welcoming fire, into the cosy lounge and bar area, through to the restaurant. Go for just a relaxing drink in the bar, or for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The heritage and character of this restaurant makes it a popular venue for birthday or wedding celebrations, or for corporate functions.

MECCA Stonehouse is a popular Auckland venue for weddings, private and corporate functions.
